Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort Information
- Location and getting there:
The hotel is situated near Saariselka, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle in Finland’s Lapland. It is a 30-minute drive from the nearest airport in Ivalo.
The resort is divided into two villages, the East and the West (the newest). Accommodation comprises glass igloos, Kelo-Glass igloos, log cabins and snow igloos. 2-person glass igloos include a toilet and the option of an extra bed. The 4-person glass igloos also come with a shower. Kelo-glass igloos sleep up to 6 and combine the comfort of a traditional log cabin with the views of a glass igloo. These feature a sauna, fireplace, kitchenette and bedroom with glass roof. Log cabins accommodate up to 10 people. The lavish Queen Suites come with a sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi. There is also a Wedding Chamber with a turf roof for those wanting maximum privacy.
