Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort

Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort is an award-winning, luxury boutique resort situated on 17 acres of private land on a former coconut plantation on Vanua Levu Island in Fiji.

There are 25 thatched bures (traditional Fijian bungalows) designed with privacy and comfort in mind. Each bure features rustic-chic décor, a king-size bed, an oversized bathroom, and a private deck overlooking the garden or ocean. The Honeymoon Point Reef Bure comes with a private Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. There are no televisions or telephones in any of the rooms. Family accommodation is available.

Sample Fijian, South Pacific, and Asian-inspired cuisine served in the elegant restaurant or al fresco by the pool; experience a traditional Fijian Lovo feast; or enjoy an intimate dinner for two on the pier. The afternoon tea is not to be missed.

There is a family pool, as well as a free kids’ club long and endless water sports, are available. There is also a resident marine biologist on site. After a busy day, be pampered with a massage in an open-air Ocean Spa Bure.

Location & Getting There
The luxury boutique resort lies on the former coconut plantation of Vanua Levu Island, a 1-hour flight from Nadi International Airport on the main island of Viti Levu.

Accommodation
The 25 spacious and elegant thatched bures are designed with privacy and comfort in mind. Gardenview bures feature a large outdoor deck that is surrounded by the tropical gardens; Oceanfront bures offer blissful bay views from their split-level decks, where there is a hammock, tables, and chairs; Point Reef bures are bungalows that boast plenty of living space, a balcony, a spacious deck, and spectacular ocean views; Villas are exceptionally lovely with a walled garden, private infinity pool, and sunken bathroom and jacuzzi.

Activities
There is a wealth of experiences on offer to suit all interests. Guests can go sailing or kayaking, explore coral reefs from the comfort of a glass-bottom boat, go snorkeling, visit a local village, go jungle hiking or take yoga classes at the resort. Be sure to go for a dive or snorkel at nearby Namena as well, one of the world's top diving spots.

Children
Considered one of the best luxury family-friendly resorts in the world, parents can rest assured that the Bula Club offers an endless program of activities and educational pursuits for children up to 12 years old. There are also dedicated nannies for children aged 5 and under.
