Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica

Peruvian Amazon

Set in a private concession next to the Tambopata National Reserve, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica is a rustic eco-lodge deep in the rainforest. Remote yet easily accessible, it’s a wildlife haven surrounded by over 540 recorded bird species and a multitude of Amazonian flora and fauna.

Thirty-five thatched cabanas built in local Ese Eja style are scattered around the grounds, linked by wooden walkways. They’re well equipped for the jungle with mosquito nets, ceiling fans, hot showers, and screened balconies with hammocks. Fluffy bathrobes, slippers and organic toiletries provide a luxury touch, and the Tambopata suites have private plunge pools. Feast on Peruvian classics made from locally sourced produce, and enjoy complimentary pisco sour during cocktail hour. But it’s the wildlife that takes centre stage.

Wander the canopy walkway, and spend a night in the canopy treehouse with a front-row seat to life in the treetops. Guided excursions include birdwatching tours, river cruises and nocturnal jungle treks.
