Taupo, New Zealand
Considered by many to be the quintessential New Zealand retreat, Huka Lodge sits on an unrivalled riverside location on the outskirts of Taupo in the heart of North Island.
Huka Lodge is framed by the deep turquoise Waikato River, rich green forestry and snow-capped mountain peaks. Encompassed only by the lush beauty of nature and pleasant weather, the lodge is an escape to a tranquility that most of us seek to trade our bustling lives for.
Spread over 17 acres of perfectly cared for grounds, accommodation options range from Junior Lodge Suites to exclusive Cottages. Designed to stream in views of stunning landscapes and clean atmosphere, yet, with complete regard for comfort and privacy, the beautifully-furnished rooms provide supreme luxury away from the city.
Despite its seclusion, you’ll never be too far from recreation. Helicopter over glorious Huka Falls, Mount Tauhara and the magnificent Lake Taupo on a scenic ride, then take on the wilderness at Kaimanawa Range or traverse the volcanic craters of Tongariro National Park. Should you wish to retreat to the lull of birdsong and drifts of the river, unwind on a cruise on Lake Taupo before spoiling yourself with a relaxing massage in the quiet of your own suite.
