Gobi Desert & Southern Mongolia

Located 33km from Yolyn Am, Gobi Nomad Lodge opened its doors in 2016 and provides a convenient base from which to explore the Flaming Cliffs, Yol Valley, Khavtsgait Petroglyphs and the Moltsog Sand Dunes. Set out on a day of exciting adventure and retreat back to your comfortable and beautiful “home” with delicious food and friendly staff.

The lodge offers two types of gers. Deluxe gers are for those looking for something more special and feature en-suite bathrooms, showers, air-conditioning and heaters. They are decorated like traditional Mongolia gers with either queen or king size beds.

The lodge also offers 40 standard gers, also in Mongolian style, with a choice of single, twin, double, triple or quadruple arrangements. The mattresses here are comfortable and the quilts are warm. When the temperatures drop, wood stoves can be lit if requested. Standard gers do not feature en-suite bathrooms, instead guests have 24-hour access to spotless western-style bathrooms and hot showers in a separate building. There are lights inside and outside making late night trips safe and easy! The whole camp has electricity 24 hours a day.

The dining ger can accommodate up to 100 guests, and serves a range of Mongolian and European dishes with fresh vegetables and beef, pork, chicken and mutton. Vegetarians can of course be accommodated, but advanced notice should be given.
