Chiang Rai, Thailand
Overlooking the mighty Mekong River, is Four Seasons Tented Camp, a breathtakingly luxurious camp offering an unforgettable experience.
Found in the heart of the Golden Triangle at the border of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, Four Seasons Tented Camp is a unique safari experience not to be missed. Small and intimate with just 15 luxury tents, the camp offers the chance to have an adventure of a lifetime trekking with elephants through lush jungle and spectacular mountain trails, learning to become a mahout, river trips on the mighty Mekong and immersing yourself in the region’s culture and history.
The 15 tents are divided into two categories, Deluxe and Superior and are all styled on traditional tents using local handcrafted materials such as bamboo, leather and hardwood. The large cooper bathtubs and outdoor showers echo the romantic spirit of 19th century explorers.
In continuation of the style of the camp, Four Seasons Tented Camp has one restaurant where you can chose to eat with your fellow adventurers to swap tales from the day or if you are looking for privacy you can chose to dine separately as a family or couple. Due to the location of the camp you can enjoy some delicious Thai, Laotian and Burmese cuisine as well as some Western options. The food, similar to the activities on offer will not disappoint.
Lightfoot Travel provides tailor-made itineraries that include daily tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, and can incorporate Chiang Mai into a greater Thailand or Asian holiday.
