Ecohabs Tayrona

Ecohabs Tayrona is a charming boutique lodge set on a lush hillside overlooking the Caribbean Sea on the beautiful Canaveral Beach deep in Tayrona National Park, a 15,000-acre nature reserve in Santa Marta, Colombia.

The lodge has 14 thatched sea-facing bungalows nestled in the leafy hillside for maximum privacy. The rooms are simple, featuring white linen and wooden furniture so as not to detract from the impressive setting. Each comfortable, split-level cabin has been built in the style of an ancient Tayrona tribal home and is tastefully decorated.

The restaurant is enclosed by greenery and close enough to hear the sounds of the ocean and jungle.

The property boasts its own private beach (the only within the park) and whirlpool hot tub. Spa treatments can be arranged upon request. There's an array of activities available including bird watching, hiking, and discovering deserted beaches. Day trips to the ancient ruins of Tayrona and the Sierra Nevada can also be arranged.

Location & Getting There
Ecohabs Tayrona is located in Tayrona National Park in Santa Marta, Colombia, a 4-hour drive from Rafael Nunez International Airport. It is the only upscale lodge located in the park.

Accommodation
It comprises 14 spacious and elegant bungalows accommodating up to 4 people in each. These cabins are built in the style of ancient tribal homes using natural materials such as native wood, palm roofs, stones, and wood, and feature queen size beds and rustic furnishings.

Activities
There are plenty of activities on offer and you can do as much or as little as you wish. There is a safe swimming beach a short walk away where you can snorkel too and a range of guided walks in the rainforests as well as day trips to sights such as the Pueblito ruins or one of the many stunning beaches in the area.

Children
Children are welcome but facilities for them are limited.
