Casa Silva, surrounded by the foothills of the Andes, sits within the oldest vineyard in the Colchagua Valley, the ancestral family home is now a charming seven bedroom hotel. Only two hours’ drive from Santiago, Casa Silva is a rustic yet luxurious property from which to explore the winelands on your Chile holiday. The rooms are individually decorated with antiques, quirky wallpaper, wooden floors and shutters looking out to the pretty courtyard around which they are located.

A tour of the winery is include in each stay, most of this takes place within the original buildings from the early 1900s, the combination of the old meeting the new wine making techniques is a nice contrast. The onsite restaurant serves up tasty fare whilst the winery restaurant, a short walk away, serves up top notch Chilean cuisine including conger eel and seabass ceviche.

The Vina Casa Silva winery is open for visits and tasting throughout the year. Guests can wander through the old architecture, taste Vina Casa Silva wines, enjoy the stunning natural surroundings and go on carriage rides through the vineyards. Other activities include watching events such as polo, horse training, and a Chilean rodeo.

Children

Children are welcome but there are no specific facilities, though babysitting can be arranged.
