Casa Lecanda

Yucatan Peninsula

Located in the historic heart of Merida, Casa Lecanda is a restored colonial-era Yucatecan house that’s been transformed into an intimate hotel. This romantic, adults-only property is wrapped around a small pool and terrace with palm trees and potted plants, while its traditional interiors offer an authentic stay.

The seven guestrooms and suites have a colonial feel with lofty ceilings, tiled floors, dark wooden furniture, and warm Mexican colors. Rooms feature in-room media and spacious bathrooms with rain showers. Choose between views of the interior patio or balconies overlooking the street. The spacious garden suites include stone tubs, views of the tropical gardens, and paintings by a local artist.

Continental breakfasts are included. Although there’s no restaurant at the hotel, the popular wine and tequila bar offers light snacks through the afternoon and the high-end restaurants of Paseo Montejo are nearby.

Activities include cookery classes and food tours, in-room spa treatments, yoga, and guided excursions of the Yucatan.
