Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge lies on the edge of Corcovado National Park, on the Osa Peninsula on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. Set in tropical gardens on a palm-fringed beach, surrounded by 170 acres of rainforest, this tropical hideaway is only accessible by boat.

Casa Corcovado provides ten spacious bungalows dotted throughout the gardens. Each bungalow features traditional handcrafted furnishings, colorful fabrics, a delightful bathroom, an open-air shower, and a jungle mini-bar. Interconnecting rooms are available.

Facilities include two pools, a restaurant, and a bar.

Activities and excursions include hiking in Corcovado National Park, bird watching at sunrise, an expedition to Clare del Bosque, horse riding, a mangrove tour, snorkeling at Caño Island, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing. Back at the lodge guests can laze on the beach, sip a cocktail at El Bosque bar, or indulge in a massage.

Location & Getting There
It is a 40-minute flight from San José or Quepose to Palmar Sur, followed by a 20-minute ride to the reception center, ‘La Hacienda’, in Sierpe. There, guests will have a chance to have a drink and freshen up, before the 90-minute journey downriver, through the mangrove system, and then out into the Pacific, following the coast to the hotel. As there are no roads to Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge, guests can only access by boat.

Accommodation
The lodge is comprised of 4 Honeymoon suites, 4 Junior Suites, and 6 Deluxe bungalows. Each Honeymoon Suite provides extra privacy, hidden away in the lushness of the Casa Corcovado gardens. Infused with its natural surroundings, each room has its own cushioned benches and sitting area. Natural hammocks are also available. The Deluxe bungalows are perfect for large groups, and families. Well furnished with Costa Rican artisans, guests can relax in the lounge and the sitting area. The Junior suites are inter-connecting. Added items are a fold-out sofa bed and a screened-in porch, perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and family.

Activities
A dip at the spring-fed swimming pool hidden away in the forest beside a small stream is an absolute delight. Guests can also simply enjoy the sunset with a drink at Margarita Sunset Point that overlooks a spectacular view of the sea. If you are lucky, you might even spot a whale! Alternatively, guests can take a walk at the Tropical Sand beach or take a refreshing shower under a waterfall or a dip in the shaded pool. Hiking, bird watching, expeditions, horse riding, mangrove tours, snorkeling, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing are just a few of the activities which can be done from the hotel. And after an eventful day of adventure, indulging in a massage with a variety of treatments that uses organic tropical ingredients with natural healing properties is the perfect way to relax.

Children 4 years and older are welcomed although no specific facilities other than the baby pool.
