Cape Cadogan

Cape Town

Cape Cadogan is housed within an elegant historic mansion, a National Monument and an iconic building in the Gardens suburb of Cape Town in South Africa. The property was converted into a hotel in 2003 by the current owners, who are very hands-on and regularly reside at the hotel to ensure that standards are maintained.

The property has 12 standard and luxury bedrooms and a Presidential Suite. The interior doesn’t disappoint with each room designed in a classic contemporary style. The upstairs rooms tend to have the views with downstairs rooms opening onto courtyards: it’s worth splurging on a Luxury room as these open onto balconies or courtyards.

Breakfast is provided and tea and coffee is available in the lounge at any time. In the evenings there are complimentary canapés and sherry or port.

Cape Cadogan does not have its own gym, guests can take advantage of special daily rates at a nearby gym, with a private chauffeur service provided to take you there.

Why we recommend Cape Cadogan

"For those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Cadogan in Cape Town, South Africa is an ideal choice. This converted 19th century Georgian-Victorian townhouse holds National Monument Status and is located in the heart of Kloof Street, which extends into Long Street with all of its shops, restaurants, bars and vibrant nightlife. Only breakfast is served here, but we’re fans of the complimentary canapés and sherry or port on offer in the evenings."
