It provides 18 spacious and supremely elegant Hemingway-style tents split into two smaller camps. As well as day and night game drives, you can go on fascinating bush walks or visit a local village, and magical hot air balloon flights can be arranged. - Location and getting there:
The camp is located in the Kichwa Tembo private concession on the western border of the Maasai Mara in Kenya. It is a 1-hour light aircraft flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport followed by a 30-minute drive.
It accommodates 36 guests in 2 camps of 9 tents each. Each tent features canvas walls, hardwood flooring, a four-poster bed, polished silver, antiques and African artifacts, a lavish ensuite bathrooms with stone showers and wooden furnishings, and a spacious verandah.
Main building with lounge and dining area
Day and night game drives, bush walks, cultural visits to a local village. There is a pool.
Families are welcome although the camp is more suited to those with older children. It is fenced.
