Built-in 1865, Beau-Rivage is the last property in Geneva to remain in a single family for five generations – tradition is their strong suit and it shows. The 150-year old property is an icon of luxury and grandeur in one of Switzerland’s most desirable destinations. A meticulous renovation in 2010 saw a modernization of rooms and suites, along with a restoration of the hotel’s frescoes, marble columns, and grand façade.
The 23 rooms and suites are elegantly styled with high ceilings, lavish furnishings, and spacious, sleek bathrooms.
When the weather is fine, gourmet meals can be enjoyed at La Terrasse by Dominique Gauthier. Delicious breakfast buffets, divine lunches on the terrace, and food cooked on the grill on Sunday lunchtimes are also an option.
On the fourth floor, you’ll find the spa offering a portfolio of innovative treatments and bespoke therapies.

Location & Getting There
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the business and shopping district, with incredible views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. Geneva International Airport is just 20-minutes by car.
Accommodation
Every room at Beau-Rivage has its own personality, a unique character that makes each one a favored destination. Celebrated British interior architect Leila Corbett Elwes took inspiration from a cabinet of curiosities, where every item, every detail, tells a story unto itself.
The 90 rooms and 19 suites range in size from 30 to almost 190 square meters. Exquisite art, luxurious colors, and refined décor create spaces that exude subtle elegance down to the smallest detail. The suites, named for notable guests, all have private balconies overlooking the lake, Old Town, or the harbor. The Imperial Suite, the penultimate suite at Beau-Rivage, boasts 187 square meters of space, outfitted with a hammam shower, rare pieces of art, and a wraparound balcony with a breathtaking panoramic view.
Activities
Conveniently located in the heart of Geneva’s business and shopping districts, Beau-Rivage is an exceptional starting point for exploring the city. Some of the finest shopping, restaurants, and museums can be found just steps from the hotel, including the boutiques of Rue du Rhône and the gourmet offerings at Planet Caviar, a renowned destination for the beloved delicacy.
Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in all of Europe and one of the continent’s most spectacular sights, is just an hour by car. So are several other majestic mountains of the Alps, offering year-round activities like hiking in the warmer months, and skiing in the winter.
