Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
Au Co is one of the most luxurious junks in Halong Bay offering a once in a lifetime experience. The three-day journey takes passengers on an unforgettable voyage of discovery in the spectacular Gulf of Tonkin, which includes UNESCO’s World Heritage Site Halong Bay. Day cruises to Halong Bay are also available.
The Au Co’s state-of-the-art design sets new standards in safety and luxury in the Gulf of Tonkin. The ship’s impressive steel exterior belies the stunning and spacious contemporary interior.
The luxury ship has 32 elegant cabins and suites, which are surprisingly spacious and all beautifully designed with timber floors, handcrafted wooden mosaic furniture, luxurious bathrooms and all modern amenities. Floor to ceiling windows and glass doors mean there is plenty of light and each has its own private balcony or terrace – the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning views, day or night. The impressive Au Co suite is enormous and offers the utmost luxury and privacy.
On the upper decks an elegant restaurant and open-air bar have been designed along principles of Feng Shui to heighten each passenger’s sense of connection with the surrounding environment, as well as giving them a taste of the Orient and Vietnamese culture. Dining is an experience in itself. The diverse menu features an array of international and Vietnamese delights, including fresh seafood and locally grown vegetables.
There’s plenty to keep passengers busy. Swim, snorkel, explore caves, go biking in the rainforest or head out on a guided kayaking excursion in the hidden lagoons of Lan Ha Bay. You can also visit a floating village in Bai Tu Long Bay on a traditional rowing boat. While aboard, discover The Au Co’s signature five elements cuisine, re-energise with Tai Chi, try some fishing, unwind on the sundeck or just pamper yourself in the Jacuzzi or with a Vietnamese massag, either in the spa or in the open-air. Families are welcome on board The Au Co and they can arrange babysitters, but the cruise is better suited to those with older children.
Lightfoot Travel provides tailor-made itineraries that include daily tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, and can incorporate Halong Bay into a greater Vietnam or Asian holiday. Take a look at Classic Vietnam as an example of a bespoke itinerary that we can create for you.
