Brazilian Amazon, Brazil

The Amazon Clipper Premium is a traditional Amazon vessel and one of the more comfortable to ply the waters out of Manaus, the so-called gateway to the Amazon. The boat offers 3 and 4 day trips along the Amazon and Negro Rivers respectively, whilst a 6 day itinerary combines both rivers. With only 16 spacious cabins the Clipper, the boat is small enough to dock at remote jungle spots and explore little chartered tributaries. The cabins are of a high standard, twin-bedded, air conditioned and ensuite with hot showers.

An Amazon cruise is a great way to explore a fairly large part of the region, packing in more than a lodge-based experience, although both offer very similar excursions and activities. The on-board guides are excellent and will tailor the excursions each day allowing for exploration by motor-canoe or on foot to get up close to the flora and fauna of the jungle.

Lightfoot Travel provides tailor-made itineraries that include daily tours and excursions, restaurant recommendations and bookings, and can incorporate Brazilian Amazon into a greater Brazilian holiday. Take a look at Classic Brazil as an example of a bespoke itinerary that we can create for you.
