Amankora Special Rates:

  • Suite at USD 465 per person per night
  • Rates include daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, picnics arranged by the lodge, house beverages (including house wines and spirits) and laundry.
  • For guests staying seven nights or more, a tailor-made itinerary based on preferred length of stay will include complimentary long road permits, private transport with driver and guide and one 60-minute spa treatment.

  • Rates are per suite per night and subject to additional charges: 20% government tax and service charge, surcharge of US$30 per person per day, government royalties of US$65 per person per day (except Indian nationals), a one-time Sustainable Tourism Fund charge of US$10 per person, a one timevisa application fee of US$40 per person.
  • Single occupancy suite rate per person is subject to supplementary charge of US$405 per night. Single occupancy is also subject to the same additional charges listed above

Amankora Information

  • Accommodation: Five luxurious lodges with between 8 and 24 suites; 72 suites in total
  • Location: The 5 lodges are in various locations spread across the valleys of central and western Bhutan. The close ones are located near to Paro and the capital Thimphu, whilst the remote ones are in Punakha, Gangtey and Bumthang
  • Facilities: Paro: library, spa with sauna, hot stone baths and yoga. Thimphu: spa, dining deck. Punakha: tea pavilion, yoga room, steam room. Gangtey: massage rooms. Bumthang: spa, library. In rooms: bukhari wood-burning stove, luxurious terrazzo baths
  • Activities: Guided mountain treks between the lodges or a jeep excursion
  • Weather: The ideal time to visit is Autumn, from late September to late November or Spring, from March to May. Winter, December to February, is slightly colder but brings clear blue skies, an abundance of hiking opportunities and draws less crowds.
  • Children: Children welcome but these resorts are somewhat better suited to couples
