This 7 itinerary takes you to the best of what Turkey has to offer: its numerous religious and historical sites, breath-taking landscape and relaxing sea-side retreats. Vibrant Istanbul, mystical Cappadocia and relaxing Izmir await.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival into Istanbul, you will be transferred from the airport to your accommodation, Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah, located in the heart of Istanbul.

The rest of the day is at leisure for you to make the most of the hotel’s facilities or explore the vicinity.

Day 2: Guided tour of Istanbul

Former capital of the Empire of Byzantium, Istanbul is filled with architectural treasures, magnificent monuments which you will discover today.

Your journey starts off at Hagia Sophia a former Greek church, converted into a mosque. Next is Topkapi Palace, which served as the palace of the Ottoman Sultans between the 16th and 19th centuries. After lunch, the Blue Mosque awaits followed by an Underground Cistern visit. The last stop of the day is the vibrant Grand Bazaar.

Day 3: Guided tour of Istanbul

Today, is another full day of discovering the beautiful city of Istanbul! After breakfast, visit the Old Ciy and take in the smell of exotic spices at the famous Egyptian Market. Then, proceed to the most interesting Byzantine churches in the city the Church of the Holy Savior of Chora.

Later during the day, you will be driven to Ortakoy for an authentic Turkish tea while enjoying the view of the Bosphorus. You will then board a private boat and take a 120 minutes trip in Bosphorus that allows you to see the best parts of the Bosphorus.

Day 4: Istanbul to Cappadocia

Today, you will depart Istanbul and catch your flight to Cappadocia, a stunning area of other-wordly rock formations, subterranean churches and underground dwellings.

Upon arrival in Cappadocia, you will be transferred to your accommodation, Argos in Cappadocia. In the afternoon, a half day guided walking tour awaits.

Day 5: Flight over Cappadocia

One of the most exciting ways to experience the unique landscape of Cappadocia is aboard a hot air balloon. After your voyage in the air, you will return to your hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast you will meet your guide for your tour, beginning with a visit to Goreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and then stop in the historic village of Cavusin, followed by a stroll among the majestic fairy chimneys of Pasabag. Afterwards it’s on to Sarihan, an authentic and beautifully restored 13th century Seljuk caravanserai. Admire the surrounding multitude of bizarre rock shapes, almost like sculptures fashioned by nature in the Devrent Valley before driving on to Avanos, a town renowned primarily for its traditional pottery work.

After stopping for lunch, followed by a visit to the famous pottery artisans in their rock carved workshops, you’ll be driven back to the hotel, enjoying panoramic views of the Goreme Valley en route.

Day 6 - 8: Time at leisure in Bodrum

Depart Cappadocia to catch your flight to Bodrum, located in the Turkish Riviera. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, conveniently located by the beach.

You will have three days to enjoy the beautiful beaches and turquoise waters of the Turkish Riviera. The city is also home to numerous superb remnants of ancient times which are not to be missed.

Stay: Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum

Day 9: Departure

You will be transferred to the airport to catch your return flight home.
