Make the most of an incredible two weeks exploring the fascinating areas of Nepal and India. Engross yourself in their rich, cultural history and learn about their diverse way of living. Spend time in Mountain Ranges as well as in bustling capital cities and sit back and appreciate stunning landscapes and famous buildings.

Day 1: Arrival into Nepal, Kathmandu

You will be transferred from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to your accommodation where you will be staying for the next two nights – Dwarika’s Hotel – an exquisite 5 star oasis in the heart of the bustling city. This is an imperial respite with ornate framework, elaborate sculptures and bronze artefacts throughout.

Day 2: Wadering through Kathmandu

Spend today wandering the city, discovering the enthralling sights of the capital. Known for the great temples of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Syambunath, you will be taught about the interesting blend of Buddhist and Hindu architecture and rituals which are evident throughout. Head to the main tourist district, Thamel, and soak in the enchanting mix of people, colours and sounds. Shop around the area and afterwards relax with a cup of coffe or beer in one of the many bars or cafes and people-watch from your prime spot. Alternatively, head back to Dwarikas and unwind by the pool or enjoy a massage at the Himalayan Spa.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Pokhara

After breakfast, take a 25 minute flight to Pokhara in the morning. If it is a clear day you will be able to watch the Annapurna Ranges unfold from the plane. When you arrive at Pokhara Airport you will be transferred to your next accommodation where you will stay for a couple of nights, Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge. Situated on an impressive hilltop a thousand feet above the Pokhara valley, the lodge is renowned for its stunning vistas across the mountain ranges. There are 19 elegant and spacious rooms arranged around the hilltop, each with all the expected luxurious necessities.

Spend this afternoon getting to know the lodge and your surroundings and maybe head on a short hike around the hills. Have a drink at sunset on the large open terrace taking in the breathtaking beauty of the Annapurnas.

Day 4: The great outdoors in Pokhara

Spend today exploring the Annapurna Mountains and the surrounding sites of Pokhara. Activities available from your accommodation include a ridge-top walk visiting local guides, short hikes and naturalist-guided tours, a refreshing swim in the infinity pool, relaxing in the library and reading about some of the more famous mountain expeditions, or making the most of the spa facilities.

Day 5: From Pokhara to Chitwan

After breakfast today, you will be driven 6 hours to Chitwan where you will be taken to your accommodation for the next three nights, Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge. Overlooking lush forests on the edge of Chitwan, this lodge is a peaceful haven offering the perfect blend of both wildlife and cultural experiences. It is a newly renovated, rustic lodge and is the ideal sport for adventure-seekers. It also has excellent food made with local, organic products and is the perfect place to unwind – there is a pool, tennis court and hammocks.

Day 6: Elephant safari and wildlife viewing

Tharu Lodge offers a range of outdoor activities and today is the day to make the most of them. The lodge has five resident elephants so you can enjoy an elephant safari in the morning followed by a gentle boating safari down the peaceful Narayani River. Keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles and birds (of which there are over 300 species in this area!). Perhaps you will feel like stretching your legs on a jungle walk or relaxing into the evening with a sunset stroll.

Day 7: Cultural immersion in Chitwan

Spend today familiarizing yourself with the local community. Head to the local villages by foot or on bullock cart, absorbing the culture of a simple farming community. You can visit the local primary school and meet all the children there – they will love having you there just as much as you’ll love meeting them!

Day 8: From Chitwan to Kathmandu

Board your flight back to Kathmandu where you will have time to explore the capital at your own pace.

Day 9: From Kathmandu to New Delhi

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport where you will catch your flights to New Delhi. Here you will stay one night in The Imperial which is situated in the heart of the shopping district. It is exceptionally grand and combines classic Indian elegance with a contemporary colonial style, creating an impeccable and appealing atmosphere. Spend this afternoon wandering around New Delhi absorbing the sights and sounds of this buzzing city.

Day 10: From New Delhi to Agra

Get a train to Agra today taking around two hours. You will then be transferred to your accommodation here – the luxurious Oberoi Amarvilas. Located a mere 600 metres from the Taj Mahal, there is nowhere better to view the fascinated monument than from your hotel at sunset. Relax and unwind after your train journey in the spa and eat at one of their two traditional Indian restaurants whilst watching the sun set over one of the Seven Wonders of the World – a memorable experience.

Day 11: From Agra to Jaipur

Spend this morning touring around the Taj Mahal. You will be taken round on a guided tour and learn the history and fascinating architectural facts surrounding this magnificent structure. This afternoon you will be driven five hours to Jaipur and to your next accommodation, The Samode Haveli, where you will stay for two nights. This is a self-contained, intimate, heritage hotel hidden in the streets of Old Jaipur. With a stunning courtyard and quintessentially regal feel to it, the Samode Haveli is the ideal destination from which to explore the bustling city of Jaipur.

Day 12: Discovery of Jaipur

This red sandstone city known as the ‘pink city’ is now the modern and commercial centre of its region. Spend today on a guided tour of the very old atmospheric city, soaking in the bustling markets and stallholders selling their wares. Your guide will take you to the impressive city palace, the Jantar Mantar observatory which is fascinating, and then of course the famous Amber Palace. Here, you can ride elephants up to the fort and the gigantic Jaigarh Fort. If you are interested in jewellery and design, your guide can take you to a workshop to watch the craftsmen at work as this is what the city is particularly famous for.

Day 13: From Jaipur to Nimaj

After breakfast you will be driven to your next accommodation, Chhatra Sagar in Nimaj, Rajasthan. conveniently located en route between Jaipur and Jodhpur, it is the ideal stopping off point on your journey. This stunning hotel consists of luxury camps which all overlook the lake, all with private sit outs offering panoramic views. The interiors are spacious, comfortably furnished with locally crafted furniture, and have well-appointed private facilities.

Day 14: Nimaj

Spend today touring around the local area, visiting the traditional, rural families who live nearby. Understand the importance of conservation and the utilization of natural resources. Make the most of the fascinating bird watching in the pristine wetlands, grasslands and forests.

Day 15: From Nimaj to Jodhpur

Today you will drive to Jodhpur where you will be driven through the city passing the bustling market stalls before reaching Raas Hotel, which is situated in the heart of the Walled City. This amazingly central location is perfect for stepping out of your hotel and exploring the maze-like lanes and markets which make up Jodhpur.

Day 16: Exploring Jodhpur

Spend today with your guide who will take you on a tour of the city. Start off at the impressive Meherangarh Fort which is built into the cliff face on the edge of the Thar Desert. The fort and its museum will give you a really good insight into the wealth and lifestyle of the Rajput princes. With your guide, head to the local markets and get lost down the narrow alleyways. Make sure you explore the spice markets for some delicious traditional spices to take home with you.

Today you will take a flight to Delhi from where you will catch your flight home.
