Day 1 Arrival in Berlin
After you arrive at Berlin Tegel Airport and collect your luggage, you’ll be met by your Lightfoot Travel representative who will take you by private transfer to the magnificent Hotel Adlon Kempinski, situated in the heart of Germany’s vibrant capital. Founded in 1907 by Lorenz Adlon, this grand hotel will be your home for the next four nights. As well as a pool, spa and gym, it has four first class restaurants, two with stunning views of Brandenburg Gate. After you’ve had time to relax and enjoy the opulent surroundings and luxurious amenities in your Adlon Executive Suite, your horse carriage awaits. Day 2 Berlin Highlights and Art Walking Tour
Today, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the city centre around some of Berlin’s key landmarks. It’s the perfect way to learn about the city’s fascinating 800-year history that dates back over 800 years. When your tour is complete, your table awaits at Restaurant Mani where you’ll feast on a delicious lunch of French cuisine with eastern Mediterranean influences. Renowned for its thriving art scene, Berlin is a place where many artists have found international fame. Your afternoon will be spent on a walking tour around some of the city’s most unique galleries accompanied by an expert guide. Later in the evening, it’s time to take your seats and experience the magic of a classical concert at the resplendent Berlin Philharmonic Hall.
Day 3 A Day in Potsdam
In the morning you’ll meet your guide and driver and head for Potsdam, the former Prussian capital, renowned for its stunning palaces, parks and gardens. On the way, you’ll stop at the legendary Bridge of Spies, where spies were exchanged in the Cold War.
Day 4 The Boros Private Art Collection
Your morning is free to do as you wish, whether you feel like exploring more of Berlin or relaxing in the comfort of your hotel. After lunch, you’ll meet your driver and head to Boros in Berlin-Mitte for a tour of its famous private contemporary art collection, featuring the works of renowned international artists dating from 1990 to the present spread over 80 rooms of a converted bunker. In the early evening you’ll set off for the Neues Museum for a guided tour after hours. You’ll have the museum all to yourselves and as well as coming face-to-face with the star of the museum, a 3,400-year-old-bust of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, there’s array of artifacts from the Egyptian Museum, the Papyrus Collection and the Classical Antiquities Collection on display. Then, your driver will take you to a local restaurant of your choice or back to the hotel to relax
Day 5 It's Goodbye Berlin
Your visit to Berlin sadly comes to an end and you’ll enjoy a private transfer back to Berlin Tegel Airport, for you onward flight home.
