Starting in Auckland the itinerary begins with recovery time from the long flight before you delve into the action with a bungy jump from the Auckland Harbour Bridge. The fun continues with a black water rafting excursion through the magical Waitomo glow worm caves. Two nights are included in the geo-thermal town of Rotorua from where you can try an exhilarating white water rafting experience, mountain biking in the Whakarewarewa Redwoods forest and kayaking on a spectacular lake.
Travelling to the South Island, spend two nights by the scenic Lake Tekapo where dramatic night skies unfold before you at the Mount John Observatory. Continue to Queenstown – renowned as New Zealand’s ‘adrenaline’ capital! Here go bungy jumping from the Nevis – New Zealand’s highest jump – and an unforgettable Sky Dive above the beautiful Central Otago scenery.
Price includes meet & greet upon arrival, accommodation, private transfers as specified, fullsize automatic rental vehicle including daily insurance, unlimited mileage, accident excess reduction and Neverlost GPS, all excursions as detailed on a shared basis. Day 1: Arrival into Auckland
Upon arrival at Auckland International Airport you will be met by a Lightfoot representative who will hand over your New Zealand documentation and transfer you to your accommodation. Today you will spend the day at leisure getting to know your surroundings.
We suggest visiting the Auckland museum, the Auckland Harbour Bridge (from which you can bungee jump), the aquarium or perhaps a shopping trip around some of the historic shops.
Day 2: Waiheke Day Trip
This morning you will be met at your accommodation by your private car and driver for your transfer to Auckland Harbour Bridge prior to your bungy jump!
Featuring stunning views of the Waitemata Harbour and an exclusive ‘bridge walk’ out to the specially constructed Bungy pod, this experience will thrill and surprise you, especially if you opt for a water-touch and enjoy a nice ocean dip! Following your bungy jump you will be transferred by seaplane to Waiheke Island.
With its magical beaches and stunning weather, Waiheke makes a favourite destination for an unforgettable get-away. Enjoy a mesmerizing flight over the beautiful islands of the Hauraki Gulf to land on the tranquil waters of Man O’ War Bay. Relax and unwind by enjoying a range of award winning wines with a lunch platter (included).
Following lunch you will be transferred to the top of Waiheke Island. Three 200m dual flying fox ziplines will fly you smoothly side-by-side with a partner, friend or relative down into a stunning tract of original and regenerating native ‘bush’ (forest).
Following your ziptrek you will be transferred to Waiheke Island Ferry Terminal to return back to Auckland by passenger ferry (approximately 35 minutes journey). On arrival at Auckland Ferry Terminal enjoy the short stroll to your accommodation.
Day 3: Auckland - Rotorua
Today your adventure takes you further south to Rotorua, passing by Waitomo (approximately 2 hours 30 minutes’ drive) enroute, a pleasant break to stop and stretch your legs. Enjoy a three hour cave tubing experience of a lifetime. The tour involves a combination of walking and floating on an inner tube through a unique underground river system. The tour also provides a spectacular display of glowworms.
You will be accompanied by one or two professional guides and are taught a series of fun techniques before venturing into the depths of the Ruakiri Cave. You will be amazed at the naturally occurring decorations within the cave including stalactites and stalagmites.
Following your excursion drive to Rotorua (approximately 2 hours’ drive).
Day 4: Mountain biking and Rafting around Rotorua
This morning you will be met at your accommodation by your adventure guide for a full day excursion.
Continue to the Whakarewarewa Redwood Forest for your first adventure – mountain biking! Choose from over 120kms of purpose built tracks tailored to all skill levels for a 1-2 hour ride through forestry back roads, single track and fun jump trails surrounded by beautiful native and pine forests.
Following your ride, travel approximately 15 minutes to idyllic Okere Falls for your next adventure – Grade 5+ waterfall rafting on the Kaituna River. Raft approximately 45 minutes on water over 3 falls ranging from 1m, 3m and 7m high – the last being the tallest commercially rafted waterfall in the world!
Continue to a local cafe for a delicious lunch before your final experience – lake kayaking to thermal hot pools. Paddle approximately 40 minutes through scenic bays out across stunning Lake Rotoiti to lake edge thermal hot pools only accessible by boat.
Relax and enjoy a soothing soak or a cold plunge in the lake before returning via kayak to the jetty, following which you will be transferred to your accommodation.
Day 5: Rotorua - Christchurch
This morning fly from Rotorua to Christchurch. On arrival at Christchurch Airport collect your car and drive to Lake Tekapo Village (approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes drive).
This evening we suggest visiting Mt John Observatory to enjoy star gazing at this international Dark Sky Reserve.

Day 6: Mount Cook National Park Day Trip
This morning drive to Mount Cook (approximately 30 minutes drive) for an amazing encounter with the Tasman Glacier and its terminal lake.
Depart from The Hermitage Hotel from where you will be transferred through the Tasman Valley by coach, followed by a 30 minute alpine walk through the moraine and National Park. Board your custom built MAC boat, and enjoy the ever changing scenery, view the Tasman Glacier ice face from a safe distance and icebergs of all shapes and sizes with the opportunity to touch and taste the 300-500 year old ice crystals.
Following your excursion enjoy a unique 4WD ride with magnificent views of the Tasman Glacier and its gigantic moraine walls. A short walk to a vantage point overlooking the Tasman Glacier and its terminal lake provides one of the most spectacular photographic opportunities in the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park.
Following your touring return to your accommodation in Lake Tekapo (approximately 30 minutes drive).

Day 7: Lake Tekapo - Queenstown
Today drive south to Cromwell (approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes drive). Where we suggest you enjoy a visit to Highlands Motorsport Park to enjoy one of the many exciting activities on offer at the park including go-karting, dirt buggies and V8 supercars (cost to be settled direct).
Following Highlands Motorsport Park we suggest you enjoy a scrumptious lunch at Carrick Winery Restaurant (cost not included).
Following lunch enjoy the scenic drive through to the Kawarau gorge to Queenstown (approximately 1 hour’s drive). Set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, amidst the towering peaks of the Southern Alps, Queenstown’s picture-perfect scenery provides a stunning backdrop for endless activities and an idyllic haven in which to relax.

Day 8: Bungy and Skydive Queenstown
Today take on two of Queenstown’s most exhilarating experiences! This morning depart Queenstown and travel to a private high country sheep station, the site of the Nevis Highwire Bungy (the only access to the site is by AJ Hackett Bungy 4WD).
The Nevis Highwire Bungy is 134 metres high, (440 feet) the same height as the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge. The purpose built jump pod is suspended by high-tension wires that span 380 metres across The Nevis River, access is by cable car for jumpers and spectators alike. The exhilarating 8.4 second jump will have you travelling at approximately 128 kilometres per hour!
Following your bungy jump you will be transferred to Queenstown to check in for your skydive at a private rural airstrip. You skydive host will assist you to gear up and you will be briefed by one of the Tandem Masters.
Your flight to altitude will take you high above the Wakatipu basin, where you will have a bird’s eye view of the dramatic mountains and lakes. Experience freefall of up to 30 seconds before your Tandem Master deploys the parachute and together you glide back to earth. The canopy ride takes approximately 5 minutes.
You will then be returned to Queenstown and to your accommodation. Spend the evening at leisure.

Day 9: Queenstown
Spend today at leisure getting to know Queenstown and the surrounding areas. We suggest heading to Milford Sound, one of New Zealand’s most spectacular areas by scenic flight or helicopter. Or perhaps try Dart River boating as well as forest trails and kayaking.

Today you will drive to Queenstown Airport for your onward flight home.
