During this 10 day holiday experience nature, wildlife & city in Zambia and South Africa, two countries in the African continent teeming with marvellous sights to behold.

Your journey starts off in Zambia, where you will admire the spectacular Victoria Falls, also known as “Mosi-oa-Tunya”, or The Smoke that Thunders, from up close – a swim in the famed Devil’s Pool cannot be missed whilst you are there. Your next stop on your trip is the South African bush, more specifically in the southern part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which is adjacent to Kruger National Park. There, you will be able to admire a wide array of wildlife ranging from the elusive leopard to zebra, giraffes, rhinos, lion, cheetah, buffalo and much more. For the last leg of your trip, you will discover the vibrant city of Cape Town: Table Mountain, Cape Peninsula, Cape of Good Hope are just a few of the sights you will visit!

Day 1: Arrival into Zambia

Upon arrival into Zambia, you will be met by a representative and escorted to your accommodation, the Royal Livingstone Hotel, which is charming luxury boutique hotel with gorgeous views of the spectacular Victoria Falls.

Once you have checked in and had a little time to unwind, you will hop aboard the Lady Livingstone (also known as the ‘Jewel of the Zambesi’) for a sundowner cruise. The 2 hour cruise takes place along the shores of the river of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, during which time you are bound to see hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife.

Day 2: Touring the Victoria Falls

Today, you will discover the fantastic Victoria Falls on a guided tour. Learn how the falls were formed and about the customs and traditions surrounding them. You will be taken to several vantage points so as to admire this natural monument for various angles.

The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy the hotel’s facilities. Take a dip in the pool or indulge in a spa.

Day 3: Livingstone Island morning breezer

Right in the middle of the Zambezi River lies Livingstone Island, touching the lip of the Victoria Falls where water thunders down. Access to this island is limited to 80 persons a day and you can choose to have a picnic breakfast there at either 7.30, 9.00 or 10.30am. If you are feeling particularly adventure, take a dip in the famed Devil’s Pool – not for the faint-hearted! Swimming in the Devil’s Pool is only possible between August & December and dependent on water levels.

Day 4: From Royal Livingstone to Lion Sands River Lodge

In the morning, you will depart Zambia and catch your flight to Kruger National Park in South Africa. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation for the next 3 days, Lion Sands River Lodge.

A family owned safari lodge, Lion Sands River Lodge is located in the southern part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, the only reserve to have access to the perennial Sabie River.

Day 5 - 6: Observing the South African wildlife

During the next two days, you will have ample time to observe the myriad of wildlife that calls this wonderful reserve home. In addition to morning and afternoon game drives and bush walk, you can also experience village life.

Day 7: From Lion Sands River Lodge to Cape Town

In the morning, you will be transferred to the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport to catch your flight to Cape Town.

You will be staying at the Table Bay Hotel, located on the picturesque and historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 8: Visit Cape Town and Table Mountain

Start off your explorations of Cape Town with the House of Parliament, the Castle, Greenmarket Square and then head to the impressive Table Mountain from where you will have spectacular views over the ‘Mother City’. A tour of Cape Town would not be complete without a stop to Bo-Kaap, the city’s most colourful quarters, home to the Malay community.

Day 9: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

Today, you will embark on a full day tour of the breath-taking Cape Peninsula. Your first stop is the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay before making your way to Hout Bay. From there, you can choose to join a boat cruise to Seal Island or continue on to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak – an astounding drive. Once at Chapman’s Peak, board a funicular to get to the top of the Peninsula from where you will witness the meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

After lunch, head over to Simonstown where you will visit the African Penguin breeding colony on Boulders Beach. The last stop of the day is Kirstenbosch Gardens before returning to the hotel.

Day 10: Departure

You will be transferred to Cape Town Airport to catch your return flight home.
