Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap

Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you’ll be met by our guide and escorted to your accommodation.

Stay: Amansara

Day 2: Siem Reap

You’ll start early to catch the sunrise at stunning Angkor Wat. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, and thought to have taken around thirty years of intensive labour, seeing the first sunrays appear over the five iconic towers is an incomparable experience.

Afterwards you’ll be taken for a traditional breakfast at a Khmer village house before visiting Angkor Thom, Bayon and Ta Prohm temples (the ‘small circuit’).

Angkor Thom was the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire and is surrounded by an 8m high wall and stone gate carved with elephants and giant faces. Bayon is a 12th century masterpiece of 54 towers with enigmatic faces representing the provinces of the Great Khmer Empire. Ta Prohm is wholly unique as it has been left largely as it was found: crumbling and overgrown by jungle. This makes the ‘Tomb Raider Temple’ one of the most picturesque and memorable in Cambodia.

After your visit you’ll be escorted to your hotel for breakfast and time at your leisure.

Stay: Amansara

Day 3: Siem Reap

Today you’ll be taken on a 40-minute helicopter ride over Siem Reap before landing at the lost temple of Banteay Oumpil. You’ll have time to meander around the site and to enjoy a peaceful picnic.

After eating, you’ll be escorted to your hotel and the rest of the day will be spent at your leisure.

Stay: Amansara

Day 4: Siem Reap - Luang Prabang

You’ll be taken to the airport for your flight to Laos.

Upon arrival you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation.

The rest of the day is free to spend at your leisure.

Stay: Amantaka

Day 5: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves - Luang Prabang

After breakfast you’ll be driven to the pier for your private Mekong slow boat cruise to the Pak Ou Caves. The journey takes around 2 hours each way, passing small villages and beautiful countryside.

At Pak Ou you’ll see thousands of wooden and gold lacquered Buddha statues crammed into two caves carved out of a limestone cliff.

Next, you’ll cruise to a quiet location and moor for lunch before returning downstream to Luang Prabang.

You’ll be met at the pier and transferred to your hotel.

Stay: Amantaka

Day 6: Luang Prabang - Kuang Si Waterfall - Luang Prabang

During sunrise, the streets of Luang Prabang come alive as the monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot to collect offerings from local residents. You’ll get up early to watch this serene ceremony that highlights the spiritualism of the Laos people.

You’ll return to your hotel for breakfast before setting off to Kuang Si Falls.

These waterfalls cascade down a multilevel limestone formation creating turquoise pools that are perfect for swimming. Meanwhile, the surrounding jungle is great for hiking.

Before being driven back to your hotel, you’ll have the chance to visit the Free The Bears Fund Inc, home to 23 Asiatic black bears who’ve been saved from poachers.

Stay: Amantaka

Day 7: Luang Prabang - Home

After breakfast you’ll be escorted to the airport for your flight.
