London’s Cultural and Historical Highlights

Enjoy a 4-day trip through the heart of London to experience the history, culture and elegance of the city, it’s sites, and of course, the Royal Family.

Day 1: Arrival into London

Having arrived at London’s International Airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation for the duration of your stay, The GoringThis is London’s quintessentially English hotel and the very last “grand hotel” of the Edwardian era – now over 100 years old.

This afternoon, head with your chauffeur to the “south side” of the River Thames and board a private capsule on the London Eye, the world’s largest observation wheel. View over 55 landmarks  from a different perspective and soak up the capital from this dizzying height.

Depart with your guide on foot for a walking tour of the highlights of the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton. Enjoy dinner at The Goring Hotel or at one of the many local restaurants.

Day 2: Royal London

Visit Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the Queen. The 19 State Rooms that are available to view are magnificent as well as the other exhibitions on at the time. Head “next door” for a private visit of the Royal Mews, one of the finest workign stables in existence.

She the Glass State Coach and the 1902 State Landau, both of which were used on the journey from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace for the Royal Wedding.

For the finale, visit Westminster Abbey – a stunning Gothic church which intertwines with the very fabric of British history. It is the scene for every Royal Coronation since 1066 and it is where many Kings and Queens of England are buried.

This evening, catch a show at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on the south bank, followed by dinner at the OXO Tower with its fabulous views across London.

Day 3: Uniformed London

After breakfast, leave with your guide to the Thames to step aboard the Royal Nore, the official Royal Barge of The Queen and the Royal Family. Reserved exclusively for leisurely cruises and buffet lunch, it is the best way to see London from a different perspective.

Arrive at Tower Pier in the early afternoon for a private visit of the Tower of London. Exclusive entry and guided by one of the Yeoman Warders, see behind the scenes of this historic place and learn of the countless cases of intrigue, imprisonment, torture and mruder.

See also the greatest working collection of Crown Jewels in the world and priceless symbols of British monarchy.

Enjoy shopping around Bond Street and Knightsbridge before enjoying dinner in one of the many fine dining restaurants in the area.

Day 4: Windsor Great Park

Depart with your chauffeur to Windsor Great Park. Visit the castle – the oldest and largest occupied caslte in the world and the official residence of the Queen. Make sure you see the magnificent state apartments furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection, and the St George’s Chapel, one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England and the burial place of 10 monarchs.Find Queen Mary’s doll house – a masterpiece in miniature.

Enjoy a private carriage ride and return to The Goring to freshen up before heading to the famous ‘Grendier Pub’ in Belgravia for a drink or two before dinner at one of the great restaurants in Mayfair.

Day 5: Departure

Depart after breakfast with your chauffeur for your flight home or onward travel.
