Highlights of Croatia

Croatia embodies the ultimate Mediterranean holiday with its sapphire waters and ancient towns – the perfect mix of beach and culture. This 10 day itinerary takes you from the island-peppered coastline to the picturesque villages and fascinating architecture.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, Hotel Esplanade. Situated in the centre of Zagreb, this hotel offers spacious and beautifully furnished rooms. Originally opened in 1925 for passengers from the Orient Express, the über-stylish Hotel Esplanade is an architectural gem.

You will have the remainder of the day at leisure to explore the surroundings or just relax.

Day 2: From Zagreb to Plitvice

After breakfast, you will be transferred to NP Plitvice Lakes (UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979), which is the largest National Park in Croatia. Your next accommodation, Ethno Houses, is located in the heart of Plitvička Jezera National Park, about 400 m from the highest waterfall.

Day 3: From National park Krka to Split

Start off your day with a visit to Krka National Park, named after the River Kraka that runs through it. With its seven travertine waterfalls – Bilušića buk, Brljan, Manojlovac slap, Rošnjak, Miljacka slap, Roški slap and Skradinski buk – the Krka River is a natural and karst phenomenon.

Later in the day you will be transferred to Le Méridien Lav, which is the only five star resort in Split. Located in Podstrana, 8 km south of Split, It has a 800-metre long beach, landscaped gardens and it overlooks the city and the surrounding islands. A combination of 6 restaurants and bars in the resort and along the Marina Promenade allows guests to experience a variety of cuisines. Relaxing ambiance, large panoramic windows, balconies, high quality furniture and comfortable beds are only some of the outstanding features of each guest room.

Day 4: Split city tour

Once you have enjoyed your breakfast, start off your visit of Split. Located on a peninsula at the foot of Marjan hill and protected by hills Kozjak and Mosor, Split is home to numerous monuments such as Diocletian’s Palace (UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979), the Temple of Jupiter, St. Duje church, St. Frane church, Meštrović mausoleumas well as numerous alternative events and interesting exhibitions.

Day 5: A day at leisure

Today you will have an option to choose between the following activities:

  • Short city tour of Trogir, which is known as a town museum (UNESCO World Heritage List since 1997). Trogir has a high concentration of palaces, churches, and towers, as well as a fortress on a small island, and in 1997 was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Back to Split.
  • Full day excursion on Island of Hvar and Pakleni islands by speed boat. Hvar’s strategic position, its culture, literature and natural beauty are just some of the reasons the island is world-renowned. The island is characterised by gentle winters, warm summers and many hours of sunshine throughout the year.

Day 6: From Split to Korcula

Today you will be transferred by public catamaran to the island of Korcula, one of Croatia’s most treasured islands. It’s medieval squares, churches, palaces and houses are bound to enchant you as will Marco Polo’s house – the famous explorer was born here in 1254

Afterwards, you will be transferred to Hotel Korčula De La Ville. Situated in Korčula, this romantic hotel is steps from Korcula Town Museum and Cathedral of Saint Mark. Large Governor’s Tower and Zakerjan Tower are also within 5 minutes. New renovated in 2015, the hotel features a restaurant, a bar/lounge, and a coffee shop/café.

Day 7: Wine tasting

During the next two days, you will have ample time to explore Dubrivnik. The Old City has been inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 and is surrounded by ramparts, fortresses and abounds in architectural and cultural masterpieces, carefully preserved for centuries. You will also visit one Europe’s first pharmacies.

You may also opt to visit Dubrovnik’s City Walls or enjoy a full day excursion to the Elaphiti islands by speed boat. Two of the three islands are entirely car-free, which will have you feeling like you’ve stepped back in time.

Day 8 - 9: Exploring Dubrovnik

Today you will enjoy a private city tour of the Old City included in UNESCO World Heritage Site list (since 1979). This ancient city surrounded by ramparts and fortresses abounds in architectural and cultural masterpieces carefully preserved for centuries. The tour includes a visit to one of the first Pharmacies in Europe.

You may also visit Dubrovnik City Walls or enjoy a full day excursion of Elaphiti islands on a speed boat. The islands are very beautiful, and called Kolocep, Lopud, Sipan, Jakljan and Olip. Two of the three islands, Kolocep and Lopud, are entirely car-free.

Day 10: Departure

Today, you will depart Dubrovnik and be transferred to the airport to catch your return flight home.
