Its towering buildings, though one of Dubai’s main attractions, is not the metropolis’ only appeal! During this 8 day itinerary, (re)discover another of Dubai’s not so hidden treasures, its golf courses. A paradise for all golf aficionados, Dubai boasts numerous world renowned courses, many designed by professional players themselves! After a long day on the links, what better way to unwind than make the most of the city’s abundant array of activities?
Day 1: Arrival into Dubai
Upon arrival into Dubai, you will be transferred to your accommodation for the next 7 nights, The Address Montgomerie Dubai which is set within 265 acres of lush green fairways, landscaped garden and lakes. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities, perhaps a massage at the spa to relax after your flight.
Day 2: 18 holes at The Montgomerie course
For your first day of golfing you will not travel too far as you warm up on the hotel’s links, The Montgomerie Course, which was designed by Coling Montgomerie in association with Desmond Muirhead. The course spans 265 acres with 14 lakes and 81 bunkers.
Once you’ve completed your 18 holes, head over toAltitude Bar in Burj Khalifa for sundowners with a fantastic view.
Day 3: 18 holes at Jumeirah Golf Estates - Earth course
After a hearty breakfast, you will head over to Jumeirah Golf Estates to play the 18 holes on the Earth Course. Designed by Greg Norman (two time major champion and accomplished course designer)
For dinner, we recommend one of the best seafood restaurant in Dubai, Pierchic. Its location on a pier in the sea offers wonderful views of the Burj Al Arab.
Day 4: Private day tour of Dubai
Today, you will take a break from golfing to discover Dubai and its contrasting old & new attractions. Sights include Bastakiya and Dubai Creek; Jumeirah Mosque; Dubai Mall & the Burj Khalifa; the Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah. Other highlights can be added at extra cost, including a Marina cruise or “At The Top” – a tour to the summit of the world’s tallest building!
Day 5: 18 holes at the Dubai Creek course
As its name suggest, the Dubai Creek course overlooks the Creek and Marina and is a world acclaimed golf course which has hosted numerous tournaments and events. If 18 holes isn’t enough for you, the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club has a well-equipped Driving Range which stays open late into the night.
Alternatively, we recommend dinner at Zuma, a Japanese izakaya style of dining, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Day 6: 18 holes at the Emirates Majlis course
Designed by architect Karl Litten, the Emirates Majlis course is the flagship course at Emirates Golf Club and a very challenging one and has developed a reputation as a testing layout for the best golfers. The course record is still held by Ernie Elms, dating back from 1994 when he shot a 61!
For dinner, head over to La Petite Maison for delectable French cuisine.
Day 7: 18 holes of floodlit night golf at The Track, Meydan course.
Today, make your way to The Track, Meydan Course. This floodlit night fold is open until 11 pm – which means you can sleep in before heading over to the golf course.
Day 8: Departure
The morning will be at leisure for you to enjoy the hotel’s facilities or do a bout of shopping. Before making your way home, we suggest high tea in the Skyview Bar at Burj Al Arab. You will then be transferred to the airport to catch your return flight.
