A Ferrari Journey: Florence to Milan

Nothing spells Italy more than the 3 Fs: Food, Fashion, Ferrari! This week-long itinerary takes you on a voyage from Florence to Milan to experience the best food, the best shopping and the most exhilarating car drives in Italy as well as spectacular landscapes and architecture throughout.

Buckle up and prepare for an unforgettable high-speed ride!

 

Day 1: Arrival into Rome

You will be met at Rome Fiumicino International Airport and transferred to your hotel, Hotel de Russie, located in the heart of the city.

The rest of the day is at leisure for you to discover Rome’s famous sights which include the Coliseum, the Spanish Stephs, the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican…

Day 2: Exploring Rome

Today, a private car and guide will be at your disposal to take you on a tour of Rome. Should you prefer, you are also free to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 3: Following the Mille Miglia Route

In the morning, you will be transferred to Civitavecchia’s tourism harbour on the Roman coast where you will enjoy a welcome aperitif and a Ferrari briefing with your Tour Director. After a course on the differences between the various Ferrari models and guidance on how to handle these fantastic cars, you will take the wheel and start your self-drive.

Take on the enchanting and mythical Mille Miglia and discover picturesque landscapes. Lunch will be at Bolsena, and we recommend a table with a view over the lake at La Pineta.

In the afternoon, you will stop by Pienza to visit Pop Pius II’s birthplace then head to your hotel, Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa.

Day 4: Driving to Florence

From San Casciano dei Bagni, you will make your way to FlorenceYour first stop is San Gimignano, which overlooks the Elsa Valley. You will have time to explore this charming Unesco Heritage, have  lunch – we recommend Relais La Collegiata – and arrive in Florence in the afternoon.

The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to discover the fashion houses, museums and galleries located in the vicinity.

Day 5: Day tour from Florence

In the morning, you will drive to the Chianti Area and visit Castello da Verrazzano, a world-famous medieval castle. Then, you will head to Siena an unspoilt medieval city which you will have time to explore.

After lunch, return to Florence for some time at leisure.

Day 6: From Florence to Lake Como

Today’s self-drive will take you through spectacular sites which include medieval villages and superb natural landscapes.

After lunch in Maranello, you will continue to Lake Como, where you will check into your hotel, Villa d’Este, once described by Herb Caen as heaven on Earth.

Day 7: Day at leisure in Lake Como

Today, you have to day at leisure to explore Como on you own.

Day 8: Departure

Today, you will depart Como to catch your return flight home.
