Finally, return to your luxury hotel in Cape Town to explore the city and the surrounding Winelands that South Africa offers. This 9 day itinerary will give you a chance to experience some of the most beautiful and fascinating spots in Southern Africa with complete ease.

Days 1 and 2: Arrival 

On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met by a travel representative who will assist you to your connecting flight to Livingstone, Zambia. You will be collected and transferred to Sussi & Chuma Lodge.

Named after Dr. David Livingstone’s faithful friends Sussi and Chuma, the lodge is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Zambezi amidst Jackalberry trees and Phoenix palms, providing unrivalled views and exclusivity. Accommodation is in twelve Sussi tree-houses, connected by wooden walkways.

Spend two days exploring the Zambezi National Park on game drives, walking safaris and canoeing excursions down the river. You will also be given a tour of the Victoria Falls, one of the most spectaular sights in Africa.

Days 3 and 4: Sabi Sand Game Reserve: The ultimate Safari Experience 

After a final breakfast enjoying views of the river at the Sussi & Chuma lodge you will check out and be transferred back to the airport to take a flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP).

You will be met at the airport for your private road transfer to Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where you can enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in this wildlife oasis, home to the big 5. The reserve is situated in the world-renowed 65,000 hectare Sabi Sand Wildtuin in the South-Western section of the Kruger National Park.

That evening come back to relax in luxury at the Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge. The rare views of the unending bushveld provide the perfect venue for an unforgettable dining experience.

The following morning you will have an early wake up call for your morning game drive before heading back for breakfast at the lodge. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying lunch at there before you head out for another game drive in the afternoon. This well continue into the early evening to give you a chance to view the nocturnal animals.

Enjoy a farewell dinner and a good night’s sleep before travelling to Cape Town the following day.

Day 5: Arriving in Cape Town

You will be met at Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge and transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Cape Town. Once arrived in Cape Town you will check in to your hotel, One&Only Cape Town, and spend the rest of the day relaxing or walking around the city.

Day 6: Exploring Cape Town

You will be met at your hotel for a private Cape Town city tour. Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views and take a guided tour of the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa, to give you an insight into the past.

You will return to the city and pass through the Malay Quarter and Table Bay before arriving at the Milnerton Lighthouse. Here one can see Table Mountain from the same perspective as the early settlers did when they sailed into Table Bay.

Sample some typical African/Malay cuisine at the Gold Restaurant before heading to the V&A Waterfront to enjoy a tour of Robben Island. The tour includes a visit to the infamous Maximum Security Prison where you will meet an ex-political prisoner.

Stay: One&Only Cape Town

Day 7: Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve 

You will be collected from your hotel and taken on a private Cape Peninsula Tour to the Cape of Good Hope. En route you will visit Seal Island, the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, the new lighthouse and Kristenbosch Botanical Gardens. Lunch will be at the Harbour House restaurant on the V&A Waterfront.

The rest of the afternoon can be spend enjoying the city or resting in the hotel.

Day 8: Cape Winelands Tour

You will be met by your driver for a private full day Cape Winelands tour. Get swept away by the overwhelming beauty of rolling vineyards and perfect blue sky.

The day will start with a visit to the spectacular Paarl Valley followed by a trip to the Boscendal estate in the Franschhoek valley. Here you will enjoy a wine tasting and cellar tour of one of the most reowned vineyards in South Africa. The title deed of the estate was first held in 1685 and since then has changed hands several times. After this, you will then head to Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa and the historic heart of the country’s wine region.

Two estates in the area; Waterford and Spier Wine farm provide interesting wine tasting options. The latter of the two is not your typical winelands excperience and challenges the convention style of making wine.

Lunch will be spent at ‘La Petite Ferme restaurant’ which boasts of unrivaled views and delicious cuisine. It is situated on top of the mountain which over looks the Franschhoek Valley.

Stay: One&Only Cape Town

Day 9: Departure 

After breakfast at the hotel you will be met by your driver and taken to the Cape Town International Airport.
