Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Santiago Airport, Chile, transfer with your guide to The Aubrey, a fine boutique hotel in the heart of the capital.

Day 2: From Santiago to Atacama Desert

Depart for the airport and fly north to Calama where you are collected and transferred to San Pedro de Atacama. Spend the next four nights at Awasi where your stay includes a private guide and 4×4, all inclusive.

Days 3 to 5: Discovering the Atacama Desert

Spend the coming three days exploring the best that the Atacama has to offer with your private guide and 4×4. Whether you are into photography, hiking, mountaineering, culture, archaeology among many others, your guide will tailor the program each day. Excursion examples include remote hikes through gorges filled with giant cacti, a mountain bike ride to Cejar Lagoon to cool off in the salty waters,

Day 6: From the Atacama Desert to Punta Arenas

Today you travel length of Chile, fly via Santiago to the capital of Patagonia, Punta Arenas. Two nights at Cabo de Hornos Hotel, the property is used as a base by the Antarctic boat operator.

Day 7: Day at leisure in Punta Arenas

Much of today is at leisure before your Antarctica briefing this afternoon. Tonight head out for dinner with your fellow travellers to get to know them and the staff who will accompany on your trip of a lifetime!

Day 8: From Punta Arenas to South Shetland Islands

This morning travel to the airport for your flight (1.5-2 hours) across the renowned Drake Passage to the Chilean Air Force Base based on King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. Board your ship on arrival and spend the coming 6 days exploring Antarctica.

Day 9 to 12: Antarctica Cruise

Schedules on board are flexible so as to allow the captain to make decisions based upon weather conditions and whale sightings. During your time aboard, prepare to discover this mysterious region where penguins, seals, whales and fantastic landscapes will be your companions throughout the voyage. Hop aboard a zodiac or kayak and get up close and personal with the wildlife.

Day 13: From South Shetland Islands to Punta Arenas

Return to King George Island and bid farewell to Antarctica before boarding the flight back to Punta Arenas. On arrival, transfer to Cabo de Hornos Hotel for the night.

Day 14: From Punta Arenas to the Chilean Winelands

Fly back up to Santiago where you are transferred the short distance to your hotel in the San Antonio Valley. One night at La Casona Matetic, a lovely country boutique hotel in the winelands to recount your adventures over the past two weeks. A half board stay including dinner with wine and a tour of the winery.

Day 15: Departure

Morning to relax at the hotel before you are transferred to the airport for your return flight.
