Cultural discovery of the Northeast

Embark on this 11 day journey through the Northeast of the United States of America and discover three culturally rich cities: New York, Washington D.C and Boston.

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival into New York’s JFK Airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation, The Pierre. The rest of your day is at leisure. You can start off your trip by taking a stroll through Central Park, a stone’s throw from the hotel, or relax at the spa.

Day 2: New York waterfront tour

In the morning you will be taken to the water-front for a private cruise around the Manhattan waterfront, all the while enjoying your breakfast. After admiring Manhattan’s waterline – which includes up-close views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island – disembark and head to Central Park for lunch.

In the afternoon, visit some of the Big Apple’s most iconic landmarks: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Empire State Building, The Museum of Natural History or the Museum of Modern Art.

Day 3: Day at leisure

Today is at leisure. We recommend strolling through the city’s 5 different boroughs.

Day 4: Broadway experience

After breakfast, take an Ethnic neighbourhood tour with a local. Chose the neighbourhood (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn) and visit Greek, Italian, Russian, Polish, Dominican or Korean communities.

In the evening, prepare to be dazzled by a VIP Broadway experience. Enjoy a private pre-dinner cocktail with a top Broadway actor/ actress from your favourite show, then head to the show with VIP best-of-the-house seats. Following the performance, go backstage see the sets, costumes and meets members of the cast.

Day 5: Photography lessons

In the morning, explore Manhattan’s neighbourhood with an award-winning photojournalist who will give you tips on how to photograph this photogenic city.

The afternoon is at leisure. Make the most of it by simply relaxing, going to an art expo or doing some last-minute shopping

Day 6: New York to Washington D.C

In the morning, you will be transferred to New York’s Penn Station to catch your train to Washington DC’s Union Station. Upon arrival, you will check in at the Hay Adams Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

In the evening, a guide will take you on a Washington by Night Tour during which time you will discover the Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials and the exterior of the White House.

Day 7: Museums and art galleries

After breakfast, bring out the artist in you as you visit the numerous galleries Washington DC has to offer.

In the afternoon, your guide will take you on a private tour of the National Mall, with the option of visiting one of its famous museums.

Day 8: Museum visit

In the morning, get ready to adopt a cover identity as you visit the International Spy Museum with a former intelligence officer guide. In the afternoon, head to the Newseum, a hands on museum dedicated to the news and currents affairs.

Day 9: Washington D.C to Boston

You will be picked up in the morning and dropped off at Washington’s National Airport to catch your flight to Boston. Upon arrival in Boston, you will be taken to your accommodation, Boston Harbour Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. We recommend exploring the delicious restaurants of Beacon Hill in the evening.

Day 10: Day trip to Cambridge

In the morning, you will visit Harvard University with an actual Harvard undergraduate student. As one of the Ivy League Schools, Harvard is not only one of America’s most prestigious campuses, but also one of the most beautiful. Once your tour is over, you will be dropped off at your hotel.

In the afternoon, an expert historian will take you on a tour of Boston’s famous North End, four centuries worth of history.

Day 11: Depart

Your last day in Boston is at leisure. You will be dropped off at Boston’s Logan International Airport in time for your flight home.
