With plenty of activities both on and off the slopes (think husky dog sledding, tubing or sleigh rides!), Whistler has something to offer for everyone. With consistently good snowfall records and excellent ski schools, this is the perfect family destination.

Only a 2 hour transfer from Vancouver Airport, Whistler is a conveniently located resort with an impressive coastal location. As a result, it doesn’t tend to experience the extreme low temperatures that other Rocky mountain resorts are used to, making it a great choice for that family holiday.

The ski area is split between two mountains – Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. These are interlinked by the breathtaking 3km peak-to-peak gondola which is the longest unsupported lift span in the world, with breathtaking views of the valley for both skiers and non-skiers.

The village of Whistler is pretty, with many chalets and hotels lining the pedestrianised walkways. Some of our favourites include the Four Seasons and the Fairmont Chateau. There is a great and infectuous Canadian atmosphere  pervading throughout Whistler’s bars, restaurants, cafes and shops.

There are plenty of activities to get involved in – heliskiing with Last Frontier, sleigh riding, husky dog sledding, tubing or snowshoeing.
