This is an itinerary that we have prepared for a Singapore based company looking to create a contest for its employees.
Day 1: Arrival into Auckland
Upon arrival into Auckland, also called the “City of Sails”, the group headed straight for lunch and a guided tour of the tea plantation at the world famous Zealong Tea estate. They then make their way to their hotel in Rotorua, the Treetops Lodge Estate, is closely located to Roturoa and sufficiently isolated for a relaxing time.
Day 2: Visit of Roturoa
Today, they will enjoy a full day of activities at Rotorua.It starts off with a helicopter ride over Rotorua city and the surrounding lakes with HeliPro.They will experience real hands-on, live farming at Agrodome, which is a unique New Zealand experience.
Next, they will head to Rotorua’s premier family fun attraction, the Skyline Skyride, which incorporates Gondola cableway to the complex and is the home of the luge. They can then choose to go on a Kawarau jet boat ride or go RailCruising across the city.
In the late afternoon, they will experience a guided tour of the Te Puia Thermal Reserve, where they will admire boiling mud pools and mighty geysers followed by the Maori Arts & Crafts Institute.
Dinner will be at Te Po, where they will get an authentic introduction to Maori Culture through cultural performances and food.
Today, the clients will explore the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. The highlight of the tour is an unrivalled boat trip through the spectacular Glowworm Grotto.
Lunch will be held at Roselands Restaurant, where a delicious country Barbecue lunch awaits. Once they have finished lunch, they will be transferred back to Auckland at the Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour Hotel. They then re-boarded their coach and continued on to Auckland, where they stayed at the Sky City Grand Hotel, a 5 star hotel located only a 5 minutes’ walk from Queen Street and the Viaduct Harbour.
Dinner is at Grand Harbour Restaurant, after which they tried their luck at the Sky City Casino!
Early in the morning, the group will be transferred to Waiheke Island by ferry. Following breakfast in Waiheke, they will enjoy a private wine tour – The Essence of Waiheke Wine Tour, where they shall explore three or more of the top vineyards on the island. After lunch, they will make their way back to Auckland, to explore the city’s magnificent sites like Queen Street, America’s Cup Viaduct and Harbour Bridge.
For the last evening, we will organise a Gala Dinner at Jin Hai Wan Restaurant to celebrate the end of a fantastic vacation.
