If you’re after top-notch catered chalets, then this is the resort. Stay close to the resort for the best dining options, or take a picnic with you out on the slopes. Le Rond Point is a well known meeting place for apres-ski and live music.
A seriously fashionable place to ski, it has managed to retain its Alphine charm and is certainly a top destination for families as well. The skiing is plentiful, with links to Courchevel, Val Thorens and more. All grades of skiiers will be happy here; there are parks for the jumpers, nursery slopes for the beginners and plenty of off-piste for the pro’s. With many ski schools such as ‘Magic in Motion’ and childcare areas, you can enjoy your day on the slopes without worrying about the young ones.
Although Meribel offers many luxury catered chalets, there are also plenty of hotel and apartment options should that be what you are looking for. For example, Le Kaila is an excellent luxury hotel situated in the centre of town.
Après-ski is particularly good, with many bars, clubs and restaurants ensuring a fun stay for all ages. Our favourites include the always-buzzing La Folie Douce and Dick’s Tea Bar for after.
Meribel is most easily accessed from Chambery Airport which is a 1hr 15min drive from the resort. Failing this, Geneva is only 3 hours away.
