There’s something very magical about snow, even more so during the Christmas season. If you’ve been living in the tropics, we’re sure you’re dying to escape the heat and head to the slopes with kids in tow.
We’ve travelled the globe (tough job but someone has to do it!) to bring you some of the best ski resorts and accommodation for your family ski holiday.
The European ski capitals of France and Switzerland are first on our list, with an impressive range of chalets with the capacity to accommodate large groups (extended family and friends included!). Our go-to resorts? Verbier and Zermatt in Switzerland, Courchevel and Megeve for France.
If you’re heading to North America, we recommend visiting Canada and making your way to Whistler to enjoy some of the finest powder on the continent. The resort has a ton of excellent ski schools as well as numerous fun activities (husky dog sledding, sleigh rides and zip-lining) for the entire family.
Looking for a ski destination that is within easy reach from Asia’s hubs? Look no further than Niseko in Japan. Home to some of the best powder in the world, Niseko also boasts superb ski schools and great accommodation, right next to the slopes. Niseko’s most popular resort of Hirafu is full of amazing restaurants and charming little bars, perfect for nightcaps after the kids have been put to bed.
