Singapore

Overview

No longer the land of the stopover, Singapore is now most definitely a destination in itself.

Bask in the sun and sip a cocktail 650 feet above sea level, hunt for trinklets and savour local fare in the ethnic districts, traipse through the Botanical Gardens and the Night Safari – there is much to do here in the city of Lightfoot’s birthplace.

Cultivated to be one of the fastest growing cities in the Asia Pacific, Singapore had its humble roots as a trading port in Sir Raffles’ time. It is unsurprising that the city-state has always been favoured for being a confluence of cultures. This is distinctly apparent in its cuisine, a delightful blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavours from which its main population is comprised.

Also in bleeding through in its architecture, a wonderous amalgamation of ornate mosques, intricate temples, a scattering of colonial black & white houses, traditional shop-houses all against the ever-soaring backdrop of offices and apartments.

With its high-end restaurant, bar and retail openings, Singapore has established itself as one of the world’s premier city breaks. Whether it’s art, culture or pampering you’re after, you’ll find a fantastic spread of sporting events, music festivals, luxurious spas and boutique hotels here. After you’ve indulged in the national obsessions – shopping and eating – we know the swishest spots for you to kick off your heels and party.

There are many ways to spend your time on Sentosa. Chilled-out beach clubs light the shores as the sun sets to a intoxicating spin of music and drink. A spectacular Marine Life Park with more 800 species of sub-surface aquatic life also opened in recent years to much fanfare as the largest oceanarium in the world. The popular Universal Studios continues to draw crowds from abroad and from its own shores for a fantastic day out with family and friends.

With our headquarters in the heart of the city, we’re here to guide you towards the most fabulous side of Singapore – whether that’s booking you into our favourite hotel for the perfect hot stone spa, or recommending Singapore’s most authentic curry house and the best beach to keep the kids entertained.
