The KwaZulu Natal Province is home to the famous fields where conflicts and battles were won and lost between Zulus, Boers and the British. Many locations of historic and cultural interest still remain.
This area of South Africa has much to offer from the peaks of the Drakensberg mountain range, to lush, sub-tropical forests and beautiful sandy beaches. There is particularly good fishing and boating in this region, and walking and hiking in the remote Drakensberg is exhilerating to say the least. Another popular activity is witnessing the turtles nesting along the 200 kilometres of stunning coastline.
Visiting this region is a great holiday for all with plenty of luxurious places to stay in locations with dramatic natural beauty and isolation. Travelling between April and November offers lovely warm days.
