Garden Route

The Garden Route is one of South Africa's most popular journeys, stretching along the coast from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth.

A self-drive holiday is made easy with well-kept roads that are clearly signposted. As you drive along the route we highly recommended doing a bit of whale watching, which is superb from July to November. Stop off at Knysna which is a divine little town.

Beyond that, as you head up the coast you will find lively Plettenberg Bay with many bars and restaurants. There are many outdoor activities to do around Plettenberg such as golf, horse riding, mountain biking, hot air ballooning, sky diving, or exploring the beautiful Tsitsikamma forest.
