Damaraland

Damaraland is home to Namibia's famous desert-adapted elephants and black rhino.

These fascinating species can be found throughout the dramatic wild desert mountains between the desolate plains of the Skeleton Coast and the plateaux of Central Namibia. The little population there is made up mainly of the Damara people.

It is definitely worth taking a hike up Brandberg Mountain to see the prehistoric rock paintings and engravings of Twyfelfontein. We also recommend going on early morning and sunset game drives and then coming back and pampering yourself with a spa treatment at one of our handpicked lodges. Or you can really rough it on an off-road cycling tour. This is a fascinating region of Namibia!
