Rest your head where JJ Abrams came up with the master plan for the movie
Follow in the footsteps of the A-list this summer and take your luggage to these fabulous film locations
Who You Gonna Call?
Ghostbusters is back in 2016 with Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig donning the suits and taking on the ghouls. Filming for Ghostbusters 3 took place in Tribeca, New York. Take your luggage to The Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca owned by movie mogul Robert De Niro. This plush pad is the perfect place from which to discover the Big Apple. Check out New York’s Public Library where the original team took on those out-of-control spectres as well as the Firehouse on North Moore Street, which still sports the Ghostbusters’ badge on the sidewalk.
It Is The Location You’re Looking For
Han Solo, Chewy and pals headed out to the Empty Quarter in Abu Dhabi to bring us the latest Star Wars instalment. You can rest your head where director JJ Abrams came up with his master plan for the movie – Qasr Al Sarab by Anantara. This sprawling resort tucked in between the rich red dunes makes you feel as if you’re in another world. While you won’t find any storm troopers lurking behind the hill, you will spy Arabian oryx, be able to enjoy camel rides, 4×4 desert drives and view a sky blanketed with stars.
Beam Me Up
It’s highly illogical that you will want to go anywhere else once you land in the city of Vancouver – the location of the latest Star Trek series. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana will be returning to the Canadian city to film. While Trekkies have been sated with the sight of a crashed USS Enterprise at Vancouver’s Kent Hangar Field you might also want to tour the picturesque Stanley Park, visit the bustling Gastown or spy killer whales on a boat trip to Victoria Island.
