Day 1

Day 1
Arrival and wine tasting

Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be met by a representative and privately transferred by car to your accommodation.

Take time to relax before heading out to the famous Port Wine Cellars in the afternoon. You’ll enjoy a wine tasting as well as a tour of Taylor’s, a 300-year old family-owned wine producer in the region.

Day 2

Day 2
Guided tour of Porto

This morning you’ll head on a private tour of Porto with your guide.

Start in the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll discover narrow, labyrinth-like pathways and charming traditional houses. You’ll also witness the Gold Church, built in the 14th century, and the city’s most prominent Gothic monument.

After lunch you’ll visit Guimarães, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll explore Braganca Palace, once home to Dukes and Kings and now the official Presidential home.

Lastly, you’ll make your way to Douro where you’ll spend the next two nights.

Day 3

Day 3
Douro

Begin your day with a visit to Lamego City, hidden in the mountains where Moors and Christians once fought ferocious battles over it.

After lunch you’ll continue to Pinhão where you’ll visit Quinta do Seixo, an ancient property and home to a modern winery.

Day 4

Day 4
Douro - Obidos

After a relaxing morning at the hotel you’ll be driven to Coimbra, a historical city where countless important events took place.

You’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch near to the historic University with views over the city, and afterwards you’ll visit the world-famous Library.   

Day 5

Day 5
Obidos - Lisbon

This morning you’ll continue to Obidos to explore the cobbled picturesque streets of the historic walled town.

Move on to Casal Branco, a beautiful estate of winemakers and horse breeders where you can learn and interact with the beautiful Lusitano Horse. You’ll also visit the winery, followed by a wine tasting and lunch.

Fully satiated, you’ll head towards Lisbon.

Day 6

Day 6
Lisbon

Today your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a tour of the city, which will include the old town, Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery.

In the evening, you’ll enjoy a Fado music show whilst you dine.

Day 7

Day 7
Lisbon

Discover Lisbon in all its glory with a tour exploring the city’s outskirts. Prepare to see Pena National Palace in Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and once the home of royalty.

On the way back to Lisbon you’ll stop to explore Cascais, a charming seaside village.

Day 8

Day 8
Departure

You’ll have the chance to wander through Lisbon in the morning before being transferred to the city for your return flight home.
