Role – Marketing Executive, Hong Kong

Working Hours – Monday-Friday, 9am – 6pm with one hour break.

The Employee will be responsible for, including but not limited to:

Supporting the overall sales and marketing strategy for the Hong Kong market and assisting the Head of Commercial based in Singapore and the Director in Hong Kong to meet targets and complete tasks.

  • Sourcing interesting, timely and topical content for our social media channels
  • Content creation for editorial partners and the Lightfoot website
  • Assisting the PR agency by providing stats, maintaining relationships with journalists and helping to organise press trips
  • Event planning and execution such as invitation designs and distribution,  logistics, set up, scheduling and the production of supporting materials
  • Liaising with creative agency to create collaterals
  • Developing and building partnerships with luxury brands
  • Attend networking events
  • Assist Hong Kong’s Director at meetings, take note of actions and help build proposals
  • Support sales with ad hoc requests such as restaurant reservations, offers updates & footnotes
  • Creating weekly e-newsletters to the Lightfoot Travel database using the Mailchimp platform
  • Maintain a relationship with hotel groups and properties in order to source prizes and get contribution towards marketing campaigns and advertising

Background Experience & Key Skills

  • Social media account management
  • Relations with lifestyle/ travel media in Hong Kong (not essential)
  • Creativity and ability to help create on-brand collaterals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – comfortable with networking and presenting
  • Excellent proven writing and proof reading skills
  • Passion for travel, knowledge of luxury and experiential travel
  • Ability to multi-task and work closely with Lightfoot’s other two offices in Singapore and Dubai
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of WordPress, MailChimp and Google Adwords (preferred but not essential)
  • Native English speaker, Cantonese and Mandarin skills a plus
