Title: Head of Sales (Maternity Cover)

Key responsibilities including but not limited to:• Lead the sales team across the Group with drive, energy and urgency to ensure maximum sales are extracted from the available leads
• Effectively manage the performance of individuals within the team ranging from new starters to high performers
• Analyzing and following up on all weekly reports, including supplier payments, final balances and T&Cs checks
• Communication with Head of Operations, Head of Product Development and Head of Regions to ensure best practice in all areas companywide
• Intervene and follow up with issues relating to key suppliers, ensuring LF clients receive the high levels of service as standard throughout their trips. This may result in tendering business to other DMCs to ensure we are always ahead of the curve
• Fully manage lead allocation, holiday management (in conjunction with HR) and fam trips to ensure steady capacity of Designers within the office, and to effectively manage all enquiries
• Working in conjunction with Directors and HR in line with recruitment strategy to ensure target growth, including screening, interviewing and management of new starters
• Tackle underperformance promptly as per best practice in conjunction with HR
• Work with marketing to prepare and attend events as required
• Liaise with marketing and Head of Product to select best product pushes across all platforms, with consideration to relationships, margins and ROI
• Provide sales training and constant support to Designers across all aspects, including but not limited to initial sales enquiry, price issues, margins, complaints, lead management and product knowledge
• Responsibility for working with accounts to ensure all policies are in place to provide best financial practices suitable for both finance and sales. Ensure the smooth implementation of said policies
• Continued analysis of target and performances, both for individuals and companywide to ensure hitting KPIs across the company. Including but not limited to individual and group revenue, profit and margin targets, conversion rates and ABV
• Take responsibility for responding to operational and emergency situations, including issues caused by suppliers, Designers, airlines or unexpected events to ensure best results for clients
• Manage sales for VIP clients or clients visiting your specialist region as appropriate, and as demand requires
• Oversee / take weekly sales meetings, collating all information that needs to be disseminated and responsibility for ensuring all communicated fully
• Overseeing and management of all fam trips in conjunction with Designer/HOS, including management of fam overall budget for 2017Person Specifications

• Previous experience of selling within the travel industry with a proven track record of consistent sales and high customer service feedback
• Minimum 3 years in Travel Industry
• Preference for experience of working in a team leader/management role in the travel industry
• A positive, energetic and outgoing person who is comfortable managing others in an inspirational and encouraging way
• Passionate about the areas they are working within, along with a strong appreciation of LF culture and policies and a willingness to embrace and champion all these
• Internal applicants to show good use and understanding of Mercury
• Motivated by achieving results through the team
• Feel at ease negotiating with suppliers, with a preference for previous evidence of success in this area
• Proven skills in customer service and complaint handling is essential
• Natural organiser, ability to multi task and high attention to detail
• Flexible approach to work day essential, with ability to manage projects and urgent issues simultaneously
• Be able to communicate effectively at all levels, including confidence to up-report and present to board
• Objective analytical skills essential, ability to assess policies/processes and situations from all angles and apply and follow-through on appropriate solutions
